The Ceres Library is offering free crafts, activities, and a book club program for adults this month.

The library will host a puzzle night series on Mondays from 5 to 7:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to test their skill level with a variety of puzzles ranging in difficulty levels.

Children may take part in an edible craft on Thursday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m. Crafters will make tasty treats using Oreo cookies.

Kids may make "I Spy" bottles on Thursday, April 19 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will use rice and trinkets to create the "I Spy" bottles. Finished bottles may be taken home and used as an activity to find items hiding in the bottles.

On Saturday, April 21 the library will celebrate Día de los niños/ Día de los libros, or Day of the Child/Day of the Book, from 1 to 3 p.m. Children can enjoy a special bilingual Story Time, crafts, and activities. This year's theme is "Wild About Books." Each child will receive a free book while supplies last, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

The Ceres Library Book Club will meet on Wednesday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. Participants will discuss Soldier Girls: the Battles of Three Women at Home and at War by Helen Thorpe.

Children may enjoy a mix and match articulated snake craft on Thursday, April 26 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will use Popsicle sticks to craft snakes that "move." Children ages 5 and under are welcome to participate, but must have direct parental supervision.
