POSTED March 29, 2017 9:54 a.m.

A 33-year-old Ceres woman was booked early Wednesday morning, March 22 on charges that she stole her mother's vehicle.

At 2:03 a.m. Ceres Police Officer Kevin Sakasegawa stopped a Honda Accord on Herndon Court after he saw that it had no license plates. As he was checking the vehicle identification number, driver Juana Fonseca, 33, of Ceres, admitted that she stole the vehicle from her mother. She was arrested and her mother was called to pick up her car.

After the car was returned to the mother, Fonseca was transported to jail and booked for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and driving on a suspended license.
