Ceres Police detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying a man wanted for a July 29 assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.

At approximately 3 p.m. the suspect walked into the Home Depot store on Hatch Road and took a Milwaukee M18 Drill Hammer kit from the store display. He reached into his pocket and retrieved a magnetic key which he used to remove the security device from the drill. A member of the Home Depot loss prevention team approached the suspect and told him to drop the merchandise. The suspect then hit the victim with the drill as he ran from the store.

The suspect ran to an awaiting 2003 Red Ford Focus, which fled westbound on Hatch Road toward Herndon Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30's wearing a black hat, black tank top and dark tan shorts and tattoos on his chest and arm. The driver of the Ford Focus was described as a white man in his 50's, bald head and long white goatee.

Anyone with information regarding the incident, suspect vehicle or the suspect's identity please contact Detective Bryan Ferreira at 538-5616 or cell at 272-2701.
