Two Ceres women were arrested Saturday morning in Sonora after being pulled over by a Tuolumne County Sheriff's Deputy and found with drugs and stolen identities.

The women were riding in a silver-colored Toyota Echo when they were stopped just before 3 a.m. for expired vehicle registration in front of a Ford dealership on Mono Way in Sonora. Deputy Jon Hammell found driver Norma Campos, 44, of Ceres, was driving with a suspended driver's license. A records check revealed she had a warrant for her arrest.

Her passenger, 42-year-old Letricia Solorio, also of Ceres, initially gave deputies a false name but was later positively identified through fingerprints.

During a search of the car, several access cards, drivers' licenses and payroll checks, not belonging to either woman, were found along with two baggies of methamphetamine.

Both women were booked into the Tuolumne County Jail. During a search at the jail, an additional baggy of methamphetamine was found on Solorio. She faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, bringing a controlled substance into the jail, receiving stolen property, impersonating another person, and giving false ID to a peace officer.

Campos was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, driving with a suspended driver's license and her warrant for drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

The investigation is ongoing in this case and deputies will be attempting to contact the identity theft victims.
