A report of a suspicious person wearing all black clothing in a mobile home park in the 3700 block of Collins Road led to a drug arrest on Wednesday evening, Dec. 13.

Police were called at 7:04 p.m. about the man appearing to be hiding behind objects. Officers Dirk Nieuwenhuis and Kiashira Ruiz arrived and started checking the area. They had not located the person when they saw a blue Chevy Tahoe driving down Collins Road. They stopped the vehicle and approached the driver. They immediately recognized the driver and sole occupant as Kirk Robinson and knew that he was wanted for vehicle theft, fraud and for violating parole. He was detained and handcuffed and arrested for booking.

While dealing with Kirk Robinson, officers located his nephew, Dustin Robinson, 18, of Keyes, who was likely the original suspicious person since he matched the description. Dustin Robinson was on searchable probation so Ruiz searched him and found small bindle of methamphetamine in his pants pocket.

Dustin Robinson was arrested and booked for possession of methamphetamine and for a violation of probation.
