A 42-year-old Ceres man on probation who was found by police sleeping in a car early on Tuesday, Jan. 2 was arrested for burglary tool and drug possession.

At 2:34 a.m., Officer Jessica Graham spotted a Honda Accord parked at Hackett and Morgan roads with the passenger door open a man's legs hanging out of the vehicle. Sleeping inside was Travis McCullough who was on probation and subject to being searched by officers. Officer Graham found a small bag of crystal methamphetamine and a shaved key inside his pant pocket. McCullough claimed the shaved key was used to start his vehicle because he lost the originals.

McCullough was booked into the Public Safety Center for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools, and probation violation.
