Bulldog senior Caden Johnson placed second in the triple jump and third in the high jump while competing at the Stanislaus County Track & Field Meet on Friday at Turlock High School.

Ceres High varsity boys track and field standout Caden Johnson flashed a smile and gave a thumbs-up sign following his runner-up finish in the triple jump at the Stanislaus County Meet on Friday in Turlock.
Johnson soared a personal-record 42 feet during his last attempt in the finals.
Caden also took third in the high jump (5-8).
"Overall, I had a pretty good day," he said. "I'm definitely excited. It's great to have success. But I know there's still a bunch of room for improvement."
Ceres High's boys (46 points) finished eighth in the team standings, two spots ahead of crosstown-rival Central Valley (22).
Bulldog Tristan Dray won the 110 hurdles (16.71) and placed third in the 300 hurdles (43.60).
Ceres High's Gabriel Solis, Mark Lerma, Tomas Rocha, Judas Chavarin, Moises Rocha, Jacob Edwards, Jordan Dray, Mark Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, John McElwain, Jeremy Moore, Lovepreet Singh and Pietro Puducay also competed.
Solis placed third in the 400 (53.91).
Lerma placed sixth in the 100 (11.81) and 10th in the 200 (24.40).
Tomas Rocha placed seventh in the 800 (2:11.75) and 12th in the 1,600 (4:58.80).
Chavarin placed ninth in the 1,600 (4:57.05).
Moises Rocha placed 14th in the 800 (2:19.01).
Edwards placed 11th in the triple jump (38-31/2) and 16th in the high jump (5-0).
Jordan Dray placed 13th in the 300 hurdles (48.11) and 14th in the 110 hurdles (20.32).
Mark Rodriguez placed 13th in the discus (104-8).
Daniel Rodriguez placed 16th in the shot put (33-103/4).
McElwain placed 16th in the discus (95-0).
Moore placed 16th in the 400 (58.41).
Singh placed 17th in the 200 (25.02) and 20th in the 100 (12.24).
Puducay placed 19th in the shot put (33-83/4).
Ja'Quan Gardner, Kenneth Padilla and Cristian Romo led the Hawks.
Gardner placed first in the 100 (11.38).
Padilla placed fourth in the pole vault (10-0).
Romo placed sixth in the discus (125-5).
Central Valley's Tyress Pope, Angelo Bermudez, Alex Vazquez, Jose Uribe, Ben Saldana, Miguel Rodriguez, Joaquin Garcia, Julian Camarillo, Jose Bastidas, John Pacheco, Milton Uti, Jordan Sek, Roberto Aguilar, Jacob Sebathia and Jordan Postley participated as well.
Central Valley's 4x100 relay team of Gardner, Pope, Bermudez and Vazquez placed sixth (45.84).
Tyress placed 25th in the 100 (12.46).
Alex placed 10th in the 110 hurdles (19.23) and 15th in the 300 hurdles (49.22).
Uribe placed eighth in the discus (114-3) and 20th in the shot put (33-61/4).
Saldana placed 12th in the 3,200 (11:32.98) and 20th in the 1,600 (5:13.24).
Rodriguez placed 15th in the 400 (57.76).
Garcia placed 15th in the 800 (2:21.80).
Camarillo placed 17th in the 800 (2:24.02).
Bastidas placed 17th in the 3,200 (11:53.35).
Pacheco placed 19th in the 300 hurdles (59.72).
Uti placed 19th in the triple jump (35-13/4).
Sek placed 21st in the triple jump (33-91/2).
Aguilar placed 23rd in the 1,600 (5:21.63).
Sebathia placed 24th in the 400 (1:26.12).
Postley placed 25th in the 200 (26.37).
"For the most part, I was pretty pleased with how everybody performed," Hawks head coach Mike Reynolds said.
