Ceres High's varsity boys wrestling program hosted a four-team dual this past week.

"The closer we got to the competition, the harder we worked at practice," senior grappler Ethan Letras said.

Ceres High secured a split as it beat Grace Davis and lost to state-ranked Turlock.

"Coach (Steve Festa) wanted to get everybody more mat time," Letras said. "We did the best we could. Watching everyone else wrestle got me excited. We had a lot of young guys show a lot of promise. I'm proud of all the wrestlers."

Ceres High dealt Grace Davis a 51-25 loss.
