American Pet Clinic is relatively new to Ceres and drawing positive feedback on its care of small animals. While 95 percent of the animals brought to the clinic in the Richland Shopping Center, 2531 E. Whitmore Ave., Suite A, are dogs and cats, pet owners have also sought out medical care for their snakes, pot belly pigs and even hamsters.

"We are getting lots of positive feedback from our customers," said Dr. Amanpreet S. Basra, DVM. So much so that Ceres Courier readers voted American Pet Clinic as the best in veterinary care for 2013.

The clinic opened its doors in August 2011 but the current ownership began in December, 2012.

American Pet Clinic's philosophy is summed up in its mission statement: "Our mission is to produce the highest degree of quality medicine and surgery in a compassionate caring environment.
