Customers at the Costa Fields Baseball Complex concession stand last year spent $125,271 in food and drink, netting the Ceres Youth Baseball organization $28,844.76 in profit.
As part of a contract with the city to operate the concession stand at the Smyrna Park baseball complex, CYB is required to account for concession receipts. CYB made its report for the fiscal year 2014-15, which runs from Oct. 1, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2015.

CYB spent $64,809.39 on food items and spent $31,617 in wages, bringing profit to $28,845.

Last year the city proposed that CYB pay the city 15 percent to the city of Ceres. However, the city backed off from that proposal when CYB pledged to take care of facility maintenance in addition to a per player fee paid to the city.
