Arrangements were handled for Cecil Ray Beam, 84, of Winnemucca, Nev. He died June 19, 2011.

Born August 23, 1926 in Ceres to James and Una Beam, Cecil was a veteran of World War II, spending his final tour of duty in Yokohama, Japan. Mr. Beam became a carpenter after being honorably discharged from the Army in 1946. In 1956 he entered into employment for Morrison Homes in San Francisco bay area, and worked for them until retirement in 1991. During this time he worked up to the position of superintendent of Home Construction. Cecil loved to travel and history, often exploring the back roads of the western states.

He leaves behind four children, Cecil Beam Jr. of Battle Mountain, Nev., Ronald Beam of Battle Mountain, Nev., Deborah Beam Snyder of Poulsbo, Wash., and Dennis Beam of Smartsville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Shirley Irene Lane Beam in 1983, and by Barbara Callant Beam in 2008.
