A Celebration of Life was held at in Ceres on Saturday for Donna Mae Fraser, 74, of Ceres. She died March 4, 2009 after a 2 two-year battle with lung cancer.
Born Aug. 27, 1934 in Cottonwood, S.D., to George and Nettie Graham, Donna was one of five siblings who have preceded her in death along with her parents. She moved to California at a young age and graduated from Ceres High School in 1952. Modesto was her home for most of her life except for 17 years when she lived in Colusa. Mrs. Fraser loved to sew, do quilting and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
She leaves behind two children, Karen Smith and Bob Rose; eight grandchildren, Steve Borrelli, Mike Borrelli, Matt Smith, Shonna Rose, Heather Rose, Kim Merck, Larry Smith Jr. and Jon Smith; six great-grandchildren, Josh, Jenny, Alex, Kelsey, Emily and Caleb; and four great-great-grandchildren, Isiah, Cayla, Alexa and Josiah.
