Hillary above the law?
a-letter-envelope-5

Editor, Ceres Courier,

Lady Justice is a symbol of a lady blindfolded holding out scales representing fairness and equality. However, there is no fairness and equality when it comes to the way ordinary people are treated and the way Hillary Clinton is treated.

When Hillary was questioned by the FBI in a criminal investigation, she did not give her testimony under oath as required of ordinary Americans.

When Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with President Bill Clinton, the New York Times reported that a secret deal was arranged to assure Lynch that she would remain in her position as Attorney General if Hillary would be elected president. Ordinary Americans could not arrange such a deal.

When FBI Director James Comey was asked by Congressman Trey Gowdy that Hillary stated there was nothing marked classified on her email either sent or received, Comey stated, "that is not true." When Gowdy asked if Hillary told the truth when she said there was no classified emails on her email and that she did not send any classified material, Comey responded, "there was classified emails." Gowdy asked if it was true when Hillary used one device. Comey responded, it was not true and she used "multiple devices." Gowdy asked, whether it was true when Hillary stated all work related emails were returned to the State Department. Comey responded, "No, we found work related emails, thousands that were not returned." Gowdy continued asking if Hillary's claim that she or anyone else did not delete emails from her personal account. Comey responded that emails "were removed."

Comey defended the reasoning not to prosecute Hillary based on lack of intent and that she was "extremely careless." However, prosecutions of such crimes are based on "gross negligence." Gross negligence and being extremely careless are in definition as the same. This is why many have been prosecuted, convicted, and jailed for less. In the same sense, if a person runs a red light and causes an accident, there is no need for intent as a person is at fault based on "gross negligence" or for being extremely careless.

However, FBI Director Comey concluded by stating, "Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case." The translation: "She's guilty but we won't prosecute."

FBI Director Comey: "To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences." The translation: "If any of you little people ever did this, you would be in prison."

Hillary committed crimes that would have put any other person in prison making Hillary above the law.
