BEER RUN INTERRUPTED: CERES - Three men were arrested Saturday evening in the process of stealing beer from the AM/PM mini mart in the 1700 block of Hatch Road.

Sheriff's Deputy Brock Condit was in his car at Hatch and Central at 12:42 a.m. and happened to see the three men fleeing from the store. Condit checked out the scene and learned that the three had just taken 12- and 24-packs of beer from the store without paying for them.

Arrested were Richard Borjas, 19, of Modesto, Joey Aguilar, 35, of Salinas, and a 15-year-old Ceres boy who was not named because of his age. All three were charged with second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime and gang enhancements. Aguilar was on parole probation.

All three are self-admitted Surreno gang members, said Deputy Police Chief Mike Borges.

Condit's police canine helped to aid in the arrest of the boy who was trying to resist arrest.

MAN CAUGHT WITH HIS PANTS DOWN: CERES - A man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly exposed himself to a female customer in the Cost Less Foods parking lot on Hatch Road.

The 36-year-old woman left the store and was unloading groceries at 3:20 p.m. when she saw Romero Sanchez, 27, of Modesto, with his genitals exposed and masturbating in his car. She called police with a description of the man's car and his license plate number. He was found on Evans Road by officer Brandon Moore.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.

ARRESTS MADE AT THE MIDWAY CLUB: CERES - Three men were arrested early Saturday for causing problems at the Midway Club on Mitchell Road.

Police were called to the business at 1:44 a.m. with the calls of intoxicated patrons causing problems. Officer James Yandell arrived and found two suspects involved in a disturbance with an Asian male challenging others to a fight. Savay Sengaloune, 31, of Ceres, gave the name of "George Bush" when questioned by the officer. As Sengaloune was being placed into the back of the patrol car he laid down in the seat and slammed Yandell in the chest with both feet. He was removed and hobbled, said Deputy Chief of Police Mike Borges.

A patron who allegedly drove off drunk was Brandon Hayes, 19, of La Pine, Ore. He was arrested by Officer Keith Kitcher in the 1700 block of Moffet Road.

Sengaloune was charged with battery on a peace and public intoxication.

Louis Justin, 26, was arrested for public intoxication.

WEARING STOLEN LADIES UNDERWEAR: CERES - The man who allegedly ransacked a Moffet Avenue home took more than just jewelry - he was later found wearing ladies underwear taken in the burglary.

Daniel Ramirez, 24, of Ceres, was arrested Saturday for first-degree burglary.

He was found with ladies garments and panties as well as jewelry.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Moffet at 11:31 p.m. by the homeowner after he arrived home and found Ramirez in the house. As he was chasing the male homeowner, the suspect elbowed the man in the side of the side, knocking him to the ground and causing minor injuries to his nose and lips.

Ceres Police Department's Street Crimes Unit was nearby and Sgt. Sullivan and officer Jeremy Caron found the suspect and detained him. Ramirez said he was out jogging but was found with jewelry and ladies garments and panties taken from the house. The items were positively identified as coming from the residential burglary.

During booking, the jail staff found six more pairs of panties on Ramirez, some of which he was wearing.
