Ceres Cop Car

Dustin Baugas, 40, of Ceres, was arrested on drug charges after he allegedly dialed 911 and screamed into the phone before hanging up on Wednesday morning, Sept. 9.

The 911 call was made at 12:56 a.m. from a home in the 1800 block of Walnut Avenue. Police showed up at Baugas' house and determined that he displayed obvious signs of being under the influence of drugs. He refused to place his hands up and was warned by Officer Freddie Ortiz that a Taser would be deployed if he didn't comply. He eventually was Tasered and handcuffed. Baugas was medically cleared at Doctors Medical Center and then booked into the County Jail on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest.
