A man whose erratic driving and near-miss of a utility pole flagged the attention of Officer Jessica Graham on Sunday evening was arrested for DUI.

At 11:36 p.m. Graham spotted the green-colored Honda Civic of 47-year-old Modesto resident Doroteo Hernandez stopped diagonally in the intersection of Kinser Road and Railroad Avenue. After Hernandez stopped for several moments, he drove away and was followed by the officer. The Honda nearly collided with the pole before drifting out of its lane several times. Officer Graham stopped Hernandez who appeared to be very intoxicated.

At the conclusion of a DUI investigation, Hernandez was arrested for DUI. He submitted to a breath test and was found to have over four times the legal amount of alcohol in his bloodstream. Hernandez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
