Alleged apartment complex gunman arrested in Santa Clara

Isaac Lanford, 33, the San Jose man who wanted for allegedly shooting a 33-year-old Ceres woman at an Evans Road apartment complex on April 16, has been arrested in Santa Clara County.

Lanford was picked up on April 25. He will be facing local charges there and then will be transported back to Stanislaus County on the Ceres warrant for this case.

The Ceres shooting took place at approximately 3:53 p.m. in the 1600 block of Evans Road. The victim was in an enclosed yard of the complex when the assailant shot three rounds from an unknown caliber handgun, striking her in the leg. She was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and released later that day.

A witness reported seeing a person matching the suspect's description and a white female adult with blonde curly hair run across Evans Road less than a quarter mile from the incident.
