A traffic stop made Thursday evening on a 30-year-old Waterford man removed an allegedly intoxicated driver from the streets of Ceres.

At 11:49 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Angel Murillo was on patrol in the area of Mitchell and Hatch roads he observed Dominic Aquino commit a vehicle code violation and pulled over the white Chevrolet Trail Blazer. Officer Murillo suspected that Aquino was under the influence of alcohol and made the arrest after a field sobriety test confirmed that.

Aquino was arrested for DUI and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
