Argument leads to girlfriend's drug arrest

A 31-year-old Ceres woman was arrested early Tuesday, Sept. 8 after her boyfriend called 911 to report an argument he was having with her was over her drug abuse.

Officer Eric Gallegos was dispatched at 12:12 a.m. to a home in the 3800 block of Bing Lane. The boyfriend of Stephanie Morris turned over to the officer a baggie containing a small amount of a white crystal- like substance, saying that it belonged to his girlfriend. Morris admitted the methamphetamine was hers.

Morris was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and a felony drug related warrant issued by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department.
