Assault arrest made on Lavon Lane

A 31-year-old Ceres man was arrested during a Sunday, Aug. 17 fight between himself and a man in which he struck the victim with homemade Ninja sticks.

At 1:47 p.m. police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Lavon Lane where someone reported a fight between two roommates and involving a possible baseball bat. Police said that Frank Ambris, 31, of Ceres, struck his victim in the head with two sticks made from a wooden railing from inside

Ambris was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He has been arrested a number of times in August. On Aug. 9 Ambris was charged with public drunkenness and on Aug. 2 Ambris was arrested on drug charges.
