Bad drugs may have caused man's bad 'trip'

A man was taken to the hospital after police found him nude in the Roeding Heights Park restroom on Sunday evening and experiencing adverse psychotic reactions.

Ceres Police Department spokesman Lt. James Yandell said someone called 911 at 5:51 p.m. to report a man yelling in the bathroom. Officer Mike Vierra arrived and found the naked man inside, unable to stand still and constantly moving and unable to talk other than say he was "on fire."

An ambulance was called to take him to a Modesto hospital for treatment.

Police seized evidence that the man was on methamphetamine.

Yandell said this is the second time that his department has recently encountered a delirious individual, fueling concerns that a "bad" drug is being sold in Ceres.
