A 23-year-old man riding a bicycle was arrested early Friday on drug possession charges.
At 12:27 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Kyle Hatcher was patrolling the area of Central Avenue and Hatch Road when he stopped two men on bicycles for vehicle code violations. A records check revealed that both men were on probation and while searching one of them, Jesus Rojas, 23, of Modesto, he located two glass pipes used for smoking methamphetamine and a small plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance suspected of being methamphetamine.
Rojas was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors and possession of drug paraphernalia.
