Bicyclist stopped and found with drugs

A patrol officer spotted Juan Contreras, 32, of Ceres, riding his bicycle in the dark with no lights in the 2300 block of Fourth Street which led to a drug arrest.

Contreras was pulled over at 10:53 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, and was seen by the officer reaching for his pockets so he was patted down for weapons. The search turned up methamphetamine.

Contreras was cited for possession of methamphetamine.
