Danny Jenkins, 31, of Modesto, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 17 after he became combative with an officer who pulled him over on his bicycle for safety violations and was found with drugs.

Officer Brittney England pulled over Jenkins at 7:13 p.m. on Glasgow Avenue at Keating Court. She reported that he immediately became hostile toward her and took a menacing fighting position. She asked why he was upset and asked if he had any warrants, to which he replied that he thought he did. She moved forward to detain and he pulled back. At that point Jenkins reached up and placed his hands on her firearm. England gained control of him physically and removed his hands to handcuff him.

Jenkins was found in possession of a hypodermic syringe and methamphetamine.

He was arrested for threatening an officer and violation of probation. He had no warrant for his arrest.
