A man who was already on probation for theft was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 3 after he was caught stealing goods from Home Depot.

The store loss prevention officer saw Michael Guptin, 25, of Ceres, select and conceal items in his clothing and then leave without making their purchase. He made contact with and detained Guptin. The store called police at 2:05 p.m. An officer arrested Guptin for burglary and probation violation.
