Bystrum bicyclist caught with drugs

A 29-year-old bicyclist who was stopped by Ceres Police Officer Eric Gallegos on Wednesday evening, March 2 was arrested after he was found with drugs.

Gallegos stopped parolee Christopher Torres, 29, of Modesto, at 8:54 p.m. in the 1300 block of Bystrum Road. A parolee search was done on Torres which turned up methamphetamine and heroin. Torres was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and violating the terms of his parole.
