Car stop in downtown Ceres nets two warrant arrests

Arrest warrants landed two occupants in a car stop in jail on Tuesday morning, Feb. 10.

Ceres Police Officer Krandall Vandagriff was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Whitmore Avenue and Fifth Street at 10:08 a.m., when he stopped a Chevrolet Silverado for vehicle code violations. Through a records check, the officer learned that driver Lance Sanchez, 48, of Ceres had a felony arrest warrant related to possession of stolen property; and that passenger, Vivian Munoz, 38, of Ceres had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest related to the possession of narcotics.

Both were arrested on their warrants and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
