PEDESTRIAN STANDING IN ROAD ARRESTED ON DRUG ARREST WARRANT

Standing in the center media of the roadway in the area of Mitchell and Don Pedro roads prompted a 34-year-old pedestrian flagging the attention of a Ceres Police officer who would arrest him on an arrest warrant.

At approximately 9:22 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 Ceres Police Officer Greg Houser made contact with Brett Adame. A records check on Adame revealed he had a felony warrant for his arrest related to narcotics.

Adame was arrested for the warrant and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. 


DRIVER ARRESTED ON BATTERY ARREST WARRANT

A 47-year-old Modesto man who was pulled over by police on Friday evening for a vehicle code violation ended up jailed because of a felony warrant for his arrest related to a prior battery.

Ceres Police Officer Brian Chandler was patrolling the area of Richland Avenue near Hatch Road at 11:20 p.m. when he stopped Puna Leota in a Hyundai Sante Fe for the violations. Officer Chandler learned through a records check that Leota was wanted and arrested him. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. 


CONCEALED GUN IN CAR, RECKLESS DRIVING LANDS CERES MAN IN JAIL

Armando Gomez, 40, of Ceres was arrested during a Sunday morning car stop because he was driving recklessly and a firearm was located in the center console.

At 1:33 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Greg Houser was patrolling the area of Walnut Avenue near Central Avenue when he stopped Gomez in a GMC Yukon for vehicle code violations. Officer Houser saw a pistol holster in between the driver seat and center console. Gomez informed Officer Houser that there was a firearm in the vehicle. Officer Houser located the firearm, along with three loaded magazines, in the center console. Gomez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm in public and reckless driving. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. 


TWO JUVENILES, ONE ADULT ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING STOLEN CAR

Two Modesto juveniles were booked into Juvenile Hall and one adult went to jail after the stolen car they were riding in was stopped by Ceres Police early Sunday.

At approximately 3:38 a.m., Officer Gary Singh was patrolling the area of Service Road near Mitchell Road when he spotted the stolen Honda Civic. Additional officers were called and assisted in removing the three occupants at gunpoint.

Two Modesto boys aged 16 and 17 were arrested on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and conspiracy to commit a crime and booked at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Adrian Alvarez, 18, of Modesto, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, conspiracy to commit a crime and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
