Anthony Proctor, 41, of Ceres was jailed early Thursday after he was pulled over and found to be under the influence.
Newly hired Officer Gurwinder Singh was patrolling the area of Mitchell Road and Alphonse Drive at 1:13 a.m. when he stopped Proctor in a Honda Accord for vehicle code violations. Proctor appeared to be under the influence of alcohol which was confirmed by the results of field sobriety tests. He later submitted a breath sample that showed that he was above the legal limit to drive. From there he was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
