Pedro Lopez Zamora, 49, of Ceres, was arrested during a Saturday morning traffic stop and determined to be intoxicated.

At 2:49 a.m., Ceres Police Sgt. Aaron Pinon was patrolling Whitmore Avenue near Blaker Road when he stopped Zamora driving a Chevrolet S-10 pickup for vehicle code violations.

Sgt. Pinon suspected he was intoxicated and had called Officer Charles Lord-Huff to conduct a DUI investigation. Zamora performed the test in a manner consistent with someone under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DUI and provided breath sampled over double the legal limit to drive. Zamora was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for DUI.
