A 35-year-old Ceres man who was wanted for previously evading a police officer in a vehicle chase was apprehended Wednesday afternoon, June 18.

At approximately 3:16 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Charles Lord-Huff was patrolling the area of Lynley and Glasgow drives when he spotted Jeremy Gooch standing in front of a home in the 1700 block of Lynley Drive. Being familiar with Gooch and knowing that he had a felony arrest warrant related to evading police in a vehicle, Officer Lord-Huff moved in to arrest him.

Gooch was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
