A 27-year-old Ceres man was arrested for brandishing a weapon during a Modesto road rage incident.

Ceres Police did the legwork to identify and arrest Dominic Serrano, 27, of Ceres, and then turned him over to Modesto Police Department Officer John Carrico who completed his investigation. Carrico called Ceres Police at 7:50 p.m. on Aug. 24 regarding a road rage incident that had occurred in Modesto. Serrano allegedly brandished a gun at another driver. A license plate for Serrano's vehicle was taken down and registered to an address in Ceres.

Officer Vince Hooper was able to take the information and identify Serrano as a possible suspect. The victim positively identified Serrano from a photo lineup that was developed by Hooper. At about 8:13 p.m. Officer Hooper spotted Serrano at the intersection of Railroad and Hackett driving the same vehicle involved in the road rage incident. Hooper pulled Serrano over with the help of other Ceres officers and arrested him during a high-risk vehicle stop.
