A 30-year-old Ceres man was shot to death during a large party that took place early Monday in the 300 block of Olivero Road near Crows Landing Road.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said more than 100 people were at the party when the shooting took place. When they arrived following 911 calls placed at 4:40 a.m., they located a mortally wounded Felipe Ramirez who had been shot multiple times. He was taken by ambulance to a Modesto hospital where he was declared dead.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing but detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are hoping persons at the party will come forward with information.
