A felony warrant for his arrest related to the negligent discharge of a firearm landed Andres Moreno, 29, of Ceres, in jail on Monday evening.

At approximately 9:31 p.m., Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the area of Hatch Road near Central Avenue when he spotted a familiar Dodge Durango parked in the Walgreen’s parking on Hatch Road and knew that its owner was wanted to stand charges.

Officer Souza waited for Moreno to exit the store and walk toward the car and placed him under arrest. Moreno was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
