Wanted on charges for a weapons offense, Nathaniel Turpitt, 40, of Ceres, was arrested early Friday morning as he was loitering at a closed business in the 1500 block of Hatch Road.

At approximately 12:15 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the area and spotted Turpitt for whom he knew about the felony arrest warrant. Officer Souza arrested Turpitt and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
