A 55-year-old Ceres man whose licensed was suspended for a prior drunken driving conviction, was arrested again last week for driving while intoxicated.
At 2:17 a.m. Saturday morning, Ceres Police Officer Michael Ferreira was patrolling the area of Mitchell Road and Alphonse Drive when he stopped Jose Manriquez driving a GMC Sierra for vehicle code violations. Officer Ferreira immediately suspected that Manriquez was drunk. After failing a field sobriety test, Manriquez was arrested for DUI and provided breath samples showing he was over double the legal limit to drive.
Manriquez also had an arrest warrant for a prior DUI.
He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for DUI, driving on a license suspended for DUI and the warrant.
