New Year’s Eve reveling got the best of 30-year-old Waterford resident Juan Cortez who spent the first day of the new year in jail.
At 1:05 a.m. Ceres Police Officer Jonathan Blount stopped a car after observing it being driven erratically. It was determined that Cortez was under the influence of alcohol and a breathalyzer test confirmed he was approximately two-and-half times over the legal limit.
Cortez faces charges for driving under the influence.
