Ceres woman, 28, jailed on DUI charge

A 28-year-old Ceres woman was arrested for drunken driving during a Thursday evening traffic stop.

Karina Lepe, 28, of Ceres was driving at approximately 11:35 p.m., when she was pulled over by Ceres Police Officer Tyler Wilson who was patrolling the area of Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road. She had allegedly committed vehicle violations in her Toyota Corolla. When Officer Wilson made contact with Lepe, he suspected she was intoxicated.

A DUI investigation was conducted and the results led to her arrest for DUI. She provided breath samples that showed her blood alcohol content was over two times the legal limit to drive.

Lepe was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
