A Monday afternoon call that originated as a report of a trespasser ended with the arrest of a woman and a man at 1628 Evans Road.

Officer Jessica Graham was dispatched after someone called 911 at 1:16 p.m. to report a woman was trespassing on private property.  The woman reportedly climbed out of a car parked in the front of the property with a man and children inside. Sgt. Vince Hooper arrived first and spoke to 38-year-old Joshua Reaves of Modesto in the car. Meanwhile, Officer Graham found a small opening in the fence and went onto the property to look for the woman who turned out to be Bobbie Graves, 38, of Modesto. The property manager reported that Graves went back behind the apartments where she was found collecting items on the ground.

Graves was uncooperative so she was placed in handcuffs and escorted off of the property.

As Sgt. Hooper was talking with Reaves he began reaching into his pockets as if to conceal something. For safety reasons Hooper had Reaves get out of the car for a pat-down search for weapons. He found a glass meth pipe and a small bindle of methamphetamine.

During a search of Graves’ car, Officer Graham located a sunglass case in a purse that had two glass meth pipes and a small amount of suspect crystal methamphetamine.

Graves and Reaves were arrested and booked at the Public Safety Center for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
