A Sunday evening crash into a pole at Whitmore Avenue and Crows Landing Road was attributed to a female driver who is accused of driving under the influence of prescription medication.

A witness to the 11:02 p.m. crash called 9-1-1 and followed the driver all the way down Crows Landing Road to West Main east of Turlock where the suspect's right front tire came off the vehicle. The witness took the keys from her and detained her until police arrived.

Yvette Allen, 52, of Modesto, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication.
