Crash at Crows Landing &Service roads caused by drunken driver

A 25-year-old Modesto man who was allegedly drunk when he drove into another vehicle Friday evening now faces charges of DUI and driving without a license.

Daniel Ramirez, 25, of Modesto was arrested in the 10:43 p.m. collision at Crows Landing and Service roads. Ceres Police Officer Mike Vierra was summoned to the scene which was first attended to by a Stanislaus County Sheriff Deputy who advised alcohol was likely involved. Officer Vierra conducted a field sobriety test on Ramirez and a preliminary alcohol screening, showed a blood alcohol content level of over .20 percent.
