Intoxication was one of the factors that played into an alleged case of domestic violence that ended with an arrest on Saturday morning.

At 8 a.m. police dispatchers received multiple 911 calls for a man and woman fighting in front of apartment unit at 1625 Richland Avenue. When officers arrived they found Edward Sisneros, 25, of Ceres, in the parking lot trying to enter his car. He appeared to be highly intoxicated and there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from his car. A search of the car turned up a jar of marijuana.

After the girlfriend was interviewed, Sisneros was charged with possession of marijuana, domestic violence, intoxication in public and suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
