A 29-year-old Ceres man was arrested and booked on charges of drunken driving after he drove his Nissan Altima into a house at the intersection of Eloise and Dale avenues Sunday afternoon.

At 3:21 p.m., Officer Matthew Myers arrived on scene and was directed to Davian Landers, 29, of Ceres, who was sitting on the curb and said to be the driver. Landers appeared to be intoxicated from an alcoholic beverage. Witnesses in the neighborhood just south of Carroll Fowler Elementary School said Landers was the driver of the car. At the conclusion of the collision and DUI investigation, Landers was arrested and booked.

Nobody was home at the time when the Nissan struck it and inflicted moderate damage to the outer wall.
