A 42-year-old Santa Rosa was booked for drunken driving after he ran a stop sign late Saturday and hit another car.

The crash occurred just before midnight at Morgan Road and Tasha Drive.

It was determined that Cris Hernandez ran a stop sign at Tasha and pulled in front of a vehicle traveling southbound on Morgan Road.

Hernandez displayed signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment and stated he had consumed only one beer three hours prior. However, an evidentiary breath sample tested at 0.17 percent blood alcohol content – over twice the legal limit. Hernandez was arrested for DUI and booked into the Public Safety Center.

Ceres Police Officer Kevin Sakasegawa conducted the DUI investigation.
