A 61-year-old Modesto man was arrested for drunken driving Thursday evening after he was involved in a three-vehicle crash in the area of Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue.

Dispatched to the 9:18 p.m. crash was Officer Kiashira Ruiz and other officers. Gonzalo Lopez, 61, of Modesto, the driver of a 2001 GMC pickup was sitting behind the wheel and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. A DUI investigation was conducted, and Lopez was arrested for DUI. He submitted to a breath test and was found to have over four times the legal amount of alcohol in his system. He was issued a citation and released to a sober relative.
