One of the drivers in a traffic collision in the area of Hatch and Mitchell roads on Friday evening ended up arrested for being intoxicated.

The crash happened at 5:42 p.m.

Officer Jose Andrade was alerted that the driver of a 2008 silver BMW, Juan Manuel Zamora, 30, of Riverbank was attempting to hide bottles of alcohol in his car. He appeared intoxicated and was given a field sobriety test, which was performed consistent with someone under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He also provided a breath sample which showed he was over the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Zamora was arrested and booked for DUI.
