Ruben Gomez, 47, of Modesto was taken into custody during a Tuesday, Nov. 25 traffic stop because of his felony arrest warrant to face charges of auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Gomez was pulled over by Officer Christian Diaz at 9:42 p.m. while on patrol in the 1400 block of Hatch Road. Gomez was driving a Chevrolet Silverado and seen committing a violation of the vehicle code. During a records check, the officer learned of Gomez’s warrant for his arrest and booked him into the Stanislaus County jail.
