James Garrett, 42, of Ceres faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia relating to a Saturday traffic stop made by Ceres Police.

At 2:07 a.m., Officer Jon Vera stopped Garrett as he drove on a suspended driver’s license. Because he was on probation, Garrett and his car were searched and a small plastic baggy containing methamphetamine was located in a cigarette pack on the dash board. A glass methamphetamine smoking pipe was also located. 

Garrett was arrested and booked.
