Ceres Cop Car

Police arrested the driver of a car that struck two parked cars on Paris Way in west Ceres early Sunday morning, Nov. 20.

Police dispatchers received a call about the 3:10 a.m. crash in the 2800 block of Paris Way south of Whitmore Avenue. An officer arrived and found Zachary Meyers, 26, of Modesto, displaying signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Meyers, who was driving a southbound vehicle, allowed his car to drift into the cars parked at the eastern curb. He failed a sobriety test and was arrested, said Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jason Coley.
