Kongphet Mekmorakoth, 46, Modesto, was jailed Saturday evening after he was found driving while intoxicated in the 3200 block of Mitchell Road.

Ceres Police Sgt. Travis Hudson spotted Mekmorakoth driving erratically at 11:18 p.m. and pulled him over. The driver appeared intoxicated and turned the DUI investigation over to Officer Kevin Sakasegawa. Mekmorakoth failed a series of field sobriety tests and was booked for driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent. Kongphet’s blood alcohol level was .18 percent.
